LA CUARESMA NO ES / LENT ISN'T

Cuarenta días de estar tristes/Forty days of sadness.
Dejar de comer carne los viernes por costumbre/ To stop eating meat on Fridays because of custom.
Pensar sólo en Jesús crucificado/ To think only about crucified Jesus.
Preparar las vacaciones de Semana Santa/ To prepare Easter holidays.
Que te pongan ceniza en la cabeza, sin más / To put ash on your head.
Vivir sin que te importe la gente, pero rezar mucho/ To live without caring about people bur praying often.
Sacrificarse sólo para fastidiarse / To sacrifice yourself only to annoy yourself.
Adorar alguna imagen y no vivir como Jesús/ To worship an image and no to live like Jesus.
Fastidiarse, porque sí, sin beneficiar a nadie/ To annoy yourself without benefitting anyone.
